Ridgeway Sunrise is an open edition fine art giclée print of an original oil painting by Sean Monaghan, an outdoor painter based in North Wiltshire. Painted on location under the Ridgeway near Barbury before dawn, the study focuses entirely on the sky — warm orange and burnt gold pressing through a mass of dark cloud low at the horizon, the downland below reduced to a quiet dark strip. The land is almost incidental; the painting is about the light arriving. Made in around twenty minutes as the sunrise came and went, the brushwork is fast and direct throughout. The artwork is Giclée printed on Enhanced Matte Art paper — a 200gsm fine art stock with a natural matt finish.
